Man charged in $2.5 million home invasion in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO — A man was arrested Tuesday after police said he stole an SUV and car parts in an alleged burglary in San Angelo.

Authorities said officers responded to a home in the 3100 block of West Main Street around 2:30 p.m. after receiving a call of a burglary and found a man inside.

Police said they later located the vehicle and found that the man had fled the scene.

Officers searched the area and found the vehicle at a nearby home, where the suspect was arrested.

The victim told officers that he and his wife had been burglarized, but that no items were taken, according to a news release.

The San Antonio Police Department said the suspect is from South Central Texas.
