How to keep a pet from jumping out of your apartment window

A couple in Sydney’s CBD found themselves in a sticky situation after their cat jumped out of their balcony.

The couple was watching the fireworks when the cat jumped in and tried to jump on the roof.

“I didn’t see him at first, but he started to move around,” Ms Rau said.

“He’s very gentle and he kept coming closer and closer to me, he kept going for a while and then he got stuck in my balcony.”

It’s hard to keep him on the balcony because he’s jumping out at night and I can’t hear him, so it’s not a big problem.

“But when he got on top, I had to move and put it down.”

The cat was finally taken away by a vet and Ms Rauer is now considering getting a new cat.
