The latest edition of Forbes’ list of the 100 most valuable people in the world shows that Donald Trump has overtaken the likes of Prince Charles and Oprah Winfrey.
According to Forbes, the $8 billion-earning billionaire owns about 5% of the world’s wealth.
“Donald Trump has surpassed the likes a Prince Charles, Oprah Winfers and Warren Buffett to be the most valuable person in the universe,” the magazine said.
The report comes as the president prepares to address a joint session of Congress.
Trump is also slated to meet with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and U.S. Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter at the White House on Tuesday.
“It’s important to note that the Forbes list does not reflect the entire wealth of the planet,” Forbes CEO William F. Buckley Jr. said in a statement.
President Donald Trump speaks during a press conference with Vice President Mike Pence and National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster at the Pentagon on Feb. 25, 2019 in Washington, DC.
It’s the latest edition in a series of reports that highlight the billionaire’s wealth and wealth distribution.
In November, Forbes published a ranking of the 400 wealthiest people in America based on how much they own.
And in March, Forbes reported that the billionaire owns over $12.3 trillion in assets.
